I want to be an Apple Tree.

It means a lot to be living a life true to this childhood picture of myself as this was about the age I was when I wanted to be an apple tree. I believed in my core (pun mildly intended) it was possible: people like apples, they are healthy and make people happy, they can take an apple, I can make more, rinse… repeat.

Though I wasn’t making digital art, weaving together philosophy and scripture with modern day takes on all the things, I was reflecting. From a very early age - sitting at my desk and writing poems.

Sharing reflections with teachers about God, God’s love and writing stories about travel, aliens, and family.

Yes, it means a lot to be authentic here. Moves me, really - because a writer is who I have always been and for sure who I will always be.

Let me write for you or enjoy the fruits of my labor with the books :)

I am in the process of self-publishing all of my written work. This writing and publishing project is actually how Apple Tree Magic got going.

A Christmas Tree Story (Art Book)
$12.25

Printed on waterproof, treeless paper (and in my signature outside of the box fashion), I present you with an artful three part story following the life of a Christmas Tree which has been chosen to serve as Christmas Joy for a family.

It begins with a tale of how an evergreen tree becomes a Christmas Tree and marks the beginning of the season in childlike wonder.

From there, Part Two poetically threads together real stories in honor of grandmothers and great grandmothers, Christmas traditions and gratitude.

Lastly, the tree must eventually be brought down from the inside of the home. Part Three closes with its transformation, connecting the reader with the beginning and the spirit which unites us all.

Who Would Like It?

I have genuinely found that this story resonates with insightful, Christmas-loving children, young adults, and women & men of all ages.

That being said, it proves especially tender (“a balm”) for those anticipating or experiencing loss, who are aging or who are in their final sunsets of life.

This story is inspired to remind us all of how big God’s love is and how divine peace runs through us.

It’s a thoughtful gift for your mother or grandmother, church circle, book club, teachers gift, Bible study, Core Group, etc
